Who we are

AgingParentTech.com is an independent review and information website. We research and publish buying guides to help families choose safety products and daily-living tools for aging parents. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer, and we hold no inventory. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site and how we use it.

What we collect

We do not offer accounts, forms, or subscriptions, so we never collect your name, email address, or payment details directly.

When you browse the site, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) may collect anonymous usage data, including:

  • Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • The type of device and browser you use
  • Your approximate geographic region (country or city — not your street address)
  • How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct link, referral)

We also see aggregate data about clicks on affiliate links — for example, how many visitors clicked through to Amazon from a particular page. We cannot see what you bought or your personal details on any third-party site.

Cookies

GA4 sets cookies in your browser to distinguish individual visitors and sessions. These are analytics-only cookies; we do not use advertising or tracking cookies ourselves.

EU / UK / EEA visitors:If your device is in a European timezone, we show a cookie consent banner before activating analytics. Analytics cookies remain off until you click Accept. You can decline and the site works identically — we simply won't count your visit in our anonymous stats.

Anyone can block or delete cookies at any time in their browser settings. Doing so does not affect your ability to read any content on this site.

Third-party services

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous traffic reporting. Google processes data under its own privacy policy. You can read it at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out of GA4 tracking across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs

Many product links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. When you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Those cookies are governed by Amazon's privacy notice. We may also link to other merchants through affiliate programs; each merchant handles its own cookies and data under its own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — including the right to know what personal data exists about you and to request its deletion.
